History

Incorporated in September 1980, "Les Consultants Lapointe, Beauchamp, Côté, Derome inc. and Associates" was born from the merger of two consulting engineering firms both operating then in Valleyfield: "Lapointe, Beauchamp & Associates" established in 1976 and "Louis P. Derome and Associates" established in 1949. In 1987, the group incorporated a new company "Les Consultants LBCD inc." in order to facilitate the execution of projects.

In 2002, Les Consultants LBCD inc. merged with Trow Global (Trow), one of Canada’s largest engineering and consulting firms. With offices across Canada (including approximately 25 offices throughout Quebec), the U.S. and internationally, and with projects around the globe, Trow offers clients in both the private and public sectors a full range of services provided by a dedicated team of over 2,000 professionals, including specialist engineers and technical experts from over 70 Canadian, U.S. and international locations. Selected as a winner of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies Program for 2001 and 2006, and a requalifier for 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2008, Trow provides integrated solutions to the commercial, energy, industrial, infrastructure, institutional, residential, transportation and communications sectors. Today, the Company continues to enjoy dynamic growth on a global scale.

LBCD Team

With more than 100 employees, the LBCD team is composed of approximately 50 specialized engineers, assisted by professional technicians, draftsmen and administrative personnel.

Main Fields of Activities

Civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering, potable water treatment, wastewater treatment, urban infrastructure and material handling.
